Visit with Wendy

Last year the Rotary team built a house high on the hillside for a family living under four poles and a metal roof only. ( see previous blog called: From 4 Poles  and Tin  Roof to House  or put https://chemainusrotaryteam.wordpress.com/2014/03/07/from-4-poles-and-tin-roof-to-house/ in your browser).   Tom and Shelley worked on the project and fell in love with Wendy the delightful young girl who would be living in the house with two sisters and her mother.   This year Joan and Art were able to find Wendy and her sisters and visit the new house.  The reception was great; an immediate and spontaneous hug from Wendy then from baby sister.  We left them some toys and flashlights and waved goodbye to the smiling faces.

The last 100 feet up to Wendy's house are as steep and treacherous as ever. Running for a hug.

The new houses is very clean, even the chickens like it.
